I love your channel and your Pros and Cons are always very concise. I was sent one of these machines to evaluate and when it arrived, a PCB inside the machine had come off and was rattling around inside. And yes, that Styrofoam was a mess! I agree with everything you have said. For the price, it is a surprisingly good machine. I'd add the following (1) the "light" inside the hot end to illuminate and see your first layers is useless (2) The extruder tension spring is way too firm. I twisted and twisted and that spring wouldn't budge. I replaced it with one I had on hand from a genuine BMG (3) I'm not crazy about those ribbon cables on the X axis and the connection it has. I'm always checking that (4) I wish they listed what they have changed/fixed on their firmware download page (or a link to a GitHub, etc) (5) For using Octoprint, I learned I could only use the USB C port to make a connection

I got one via the kickstarter. It was a mistake. 1) the filament coming out from either side instead of the front doesn't work well with my enclosure. I should have considered that geometry issue. Sigh. 2) Way too much rotational drag with those rollers.

From where did you get Ender 3 V3 Plus profile for Creality Print 5.0?

Great video! Two questions. One: how does the cutting speed compare to the P2 55 W? Especially with something like quarter inch ply? 2: how well does the air assist work at keeping smoke out of the room with the conveyor? If I were just to use the smoke scrubber inside a house would the conveyor not be a good option anymore?

How did you learn to make setting changes needed ? Was it trial and error or others giving advice what to do ? Or where do you go for this info? And knowing what to use for supports? I'm still in learning phases myself

So could you not just reprint the top piece of the rocket cut and glue a new top on?? At least that's what id try to do instead of throwing it out.

I downloaded the newest Creality "Slicer" onto a Win10 machine an hour ago. WHAT A MESS! First of all it asked to AMS information on my K1 and K1Max? To my knowledge Creality isn't even SELLING their "new" AMS system yet????? Secondly, the interface was FROZEN on my 27" monitor. The message said there's a problem with missing AMS information (well, yea!) and you have to "fix it" but the entire interface was LOCKED SOLID. WARNING: Creality's newest slicer is DOA on arrival. Do Not Download and INSTALL.

I got one of these a few months after release. The hardware is solid (mostly), but Ankermake's software sucks. The app is ok but their slicer and firmware have been the cause of many a headache. I actually won the lottery with mine; it blew out the threads on the hotend (as in actually warped the hotend so that nozzles would not stay in) and bent my Diamondback nozzle when it crashed into the PEI plate and put a big nasty scar in it. Fortunately for me, I bought it at Best Buy ,so I just returned it, got a replacement and ate the cost of my $100 over-engineered nozzle. The replacement is quite loud, when contacting Ankermake about it they said "It's normal if the printer hasn't been used in a while." This was the response after 3 or 4 days, despite being brand new and making some unsettling fan noises every single time it starts, even if I just popped the last print off the bed. They also advertised the printer as being capable of printing flexible filament, and it did so when I bought it. They removed TPU printing support in a firmware update and got rid of the slicer profiles for it about 3 months later. They had the V6 system they were advertising as a multi-material option with minimal to no waste, which was a consideration when I bought the printer. They cancelled it earlier this year. I genuinely couldn't recommend an Ankermake printer to anyone else after my experiences, there are better options for similar money.

Another great video. I always appreciate that you are so in-depth, compare the printer to the market (this is huge and a shame many others don't do consistently), and don't let the companies sway your approach just because they're sponsoring. Friends and i agree that a company willing to send you their printer for review is only a good thing. Because it shows they're open to a genuine audit. (Not entirely true but it's one positive point when the company could be content with zero ethical points)

i'm tempted by this, but i'm wondering if they're going to make an Ender-3 V3 Max or something that's 400 mm on a side...

Lens hood are supposed to be shaped like your negative or sensor so I bet that if you make it square and matching your focal length it will not appear in the viewfinder

The problem is the Voron has had it`s day . I came to it late and bought a K1 to print my voron 350x350 because i needed an enclosed printer to print all the ABS . Turned out that the K1 was better than the Voron in almost every way . DOH ! The problem with the SV08 is its even worse than the voron because it`s not even enclosed so it wont print ABS etc . Pretty much a PLA machine , so , for the price you can get a lot better .

I hope the bed has its own accelerometer to measure resonance, if it is using the one in the print head then I don't know what kind of magic they are doing to try and tune the input shaper. The K1 had the problem of measuring only the x-resonance and using the same input shaping values for the y-axis, even though they will not behave the same mechanically.

Another very good technical review. Please consider adding another test to assess print quality at low to moderate speeds. It would be good to do a test where you print a tall angular object at the same low speed speed on each machine or even a test where you find the quality sweet spot on a given machine. Many of us will reduce speed to achieve a quality print and adding a suitable test to explore this would make a great many of us very happy. Many thanks.

Actually, V3 Plus profiles are included with Creality Slicer V4 that comes with the printer, and in V5.03 that is available on their Github account... Don't know why the 5.0.0 is available on official site though...
